Rewire Federation reads the research on AI and learning for parents and teachers. We cover AI tutors, AI in classrooms, habit-building chatbots, social robots for learning and learning science.

Many claims in this field are bigger than the studies behind them. We name the study and say how many people it tested, then tell you what it can and can’t show.

Our rules

• Every article links its primary source.
• Every article and study page carries an evidence label.
• We don’t promise changes to anyone’s brain.
• When a study tested adults, we say how far the result applies to children.
• About named tools and people, we state only what the evidence shows.

How we use AI

AI models running on our own computers draft articles from their sources. No outside AI service is involved.

A person reviews each article before it’s published. A category can earn automatic publishing after about 80% of its last 20 items pass review, and we then spot-check its items against their sources every month. “What we know” pages and tool reviews are always reviewed by a person.

Illustrations made by AI are labelled as AI. Photos are credited.

Where this is going

This year is for news and research only, and nothing is for sale. Later we plan to use this research to design the envoy, a learning robot for ages 8 to 12. If the research can’t support a good design, we won’t build it this way.
